Opportunity for industry to connect with academic experts across the UK intending to bid to the 2nd Strategic Research Fund

L I M

The PETRAS National Centre of Excellence for IoT Systems Cybersecurity recently launched its 2nd Strategic Research Fund (SRF) Call for Proposals. Through this call, the Centre is making funds available of up to £4.5M to eligible UK higher education institutions (HEI’s) to support new collaborative research projects. Project leads will be expected to collaborate and co-create a research agenda with at least one, new or existing, partner in the public and/or private sectors.

For this call, PETRAS is hosting three online events to provide a networking opportunity for HEI’s and industry to connect. These are themed on our cross-cutting lenses:

These webinars aim to connect academics and industry to promote and encourage innovative collaboration and co-creation for the ‘Intent to Bid’ stage of the SRF application process (deadline 9th September).

Through interactive sessions, we aim to provide high-level introductions between fields of research and challenges faced by industry. This will enable open discussions to explore possible areas of interest between prominent researchers, companies and organisations to find innovative solutions to challenges stemming from the cyber-physical and socio-technical nature of cybersecurity, IoT systems and the Edge.

To maximise engagement please ensure you read the call documents prior to attendance.

Open discussion and involvement in research collaborations are proven to provide many benefits to industry and institutional partners, including work and insights on how to de-risk the early stage development of cutting-edge technologies for commercial application, as well as supporting and developing innovation.

Webinar participants should consult the list of Frequently Asked Questions and read the detailed guidance note prior to attending this call.
